During this presentation Mandy talks about how she has developed many approaches and associated strategies that has seen her build a learning environment that allows both students and their families to positively engage with the school and support their students in their learning programs.


Session Presenter

Mandy is an experienced teacher of 32 years. She works in a low socio economic primary school that has a 70% intercultural population. Mandy has held various roles from Acting Assistant Principal, Religious Coordinator, Special Education Coordinator and Sports Coordinator. Through these many roles her dealings with students and parents has provided her with insight into the challenges that an intercultural school community face.
